"Mr. Burgess for 3!!!" As the shot sinks, students in both the crowd and on the court look on in disbelief that their principal just shot a long-range bucket, and it was all net. It did not stop there. Our assistant principal, Ms. Iglesias, showed off her ability to control the paint by out rebounding the students, and scoring with ease. This along with the fast pace in which the faculty played with, allowed for it to be an exciting game.
The student athletes who were members of the Boys and Girls basketball teams respectively, took on some of the staff members in our annual Faculty versus Student Basketball game. This year’s game was one for the ages, as both the students and the teachers set new highs in scoring. The students gave it their all, but in the end, the teachers won, yet again for another year. The ending score being Students 51, Teachers 113. Both scores ended up being the most points scored by either team in the school’s history since the Students vs Faculty game began. The scores proved yet again, that youth can never beat age and experience, well at least this time.
